Heart Strings is the thirteenth studio album by Bonnie Tyler. The project began with EMI asking Bonnie to record a collection of classic rock songs backed by a full piece orchestra.
The album features the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and members of Bonnie’s touring band – in 2002, this was John Young, Matt Prior, Ed Poole, John Tonks and Alan Darby. Matt Prior co-produced the album with Bonnie’s manager at the time, David Aspden.
Originally titled Heart and Soul for its Scandinavian release, the album was issued by the Danish label CMC before EMI launched it in other markets the following year.
Bonnie hand-picked the tracklist including songs by Phil Collins, the Beatles and Roy Orbison.
