About the Tour

Bonnie Tyler has chosen the 40th anniversary of her world hit “Total Eclipse of the Heart” as the motto for her upcoming indoor tour.

The song stormed international charts and sold over nine million copies worldwide. Meat Loaf producer Jim Steinman originally had the title “Vampires in Love” in mind for his dramatic composition. It was therefore obvious that the American songwriter would also use it in his cult musical Dance of the Vampires/Tanz der Vampire (Stuttgart, Palladium Theatre), which premiered 25 years ago. The epic power ballad is a showpiece for Tyler’s inimitable, raspy voice. At her concerts, Bonnie also burns off a veritable firework of hits – from her first chart hit “Lost in France” (1976) to her worldwide hit “It’s a Heartache”, as well as “Holding Out for a Hero”, “The Best” or “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” to tracks from her 2021 album The Best Is Yet to Come.

Tyler has been performing for over 50 years and her unrelenting energy has been rewarded with various accolades, including two GRAMMY nominations, an R.SH Gold Award, ECHO and Goldene Europa awards, and she is recognised as one of Britain’s most successful female artists.
