Between the Earth and the Stars is Bonnie Tyler’s seventeenth studio album. It was released in 2019 through a new deal with German label earMUSIC.
After enjoying huge success with “It’s a Heartache” in the late 70s, Bonnie reunited with producer David Mackay after hearing some new songs written by her former bass player and bandmate Kevin Dunne.
The album features numerous callbacks to earlier moments from her career, including vocal and songwriting partnerships with the likes of Stuart Emerson and Lorraine Crosby on “Don’t Push Your Luck”, Brian Cadd with “Slow Walk”, and three duets with music legends Rod Stewart, Cliff Richard and Francis Rossi of Status Quo.
TRACK BY TRACK COMMENTARY: In 2020, Bonnie hosted a Tim’s Twitter Listening Party where she provided a track-by-track commentary for Between the Earth and the Stars. You can read back/play along here.
