40 Years “Total Eclipse of the Heart” Tour

To mark the 40th anniversary of her evergreen hit, a European tour has been announced for late 2023 with dates in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and Switzerland.

Bonnie Tyler has chosen the fortieth anniversary of her global hit “Total Eclipse of the Heart” as the theme of the 2023 European tour. The song stormed the international charts and sold over nine million copies globally. Meat Loaf producer Jim Steinman had originally titled his dramatic composition “Vampires in Love”, and it was therefore obvious that the legendary songwriter would feature it in his cult musical Tanz der Vampire (Dance of the Vampires), which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.

The epic power ballad is a showpiece for Tyler’s trademark rasp. At her concerts, Bonnie also burns off a veritable firework of hits – from her first chart hit “Lost In France” (1976) to the world hit “It’s a Heartache”, as well as “Holding Out for a Hero”, “Hide Your Heart” and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain”, plus tracks from her 2021 album The Best Is Yet to Come.
