“Yes I Can” Out Now

Today, Wednesday 1 January—marking the dawn of a brand new year—Bonnie has revealed her defiant new single “Yes I Can”. The track arrives as a powerful statement of intent, signaling a fresh, independent chapter in Bonnie’s career.

Written by American songwriters Bill DiLuigi and Hannah McNeil, the origins of “Yes I Can” stretch back to 2011. The song was first discovered during Bonnie’’’s scouting sessions in Nashville, TN, while she was gathering material for the Rocks and Honey album. Now, over a decade later, the track has finally found its moment.

The release of “Yes I Can” is more than just a new song; it represents a milestone. Working totally independently without a record label, Bonnie is taking full creative control, with this single being the first in a series of new releases expected in the coming year.

Musically, the track was brought to life through a transatlantic collaboration. Produced by David Mackay at The Factory and Patrick Schmiderer at La-La Music, the production blends Bonnie’s signature grit with a polished, modern rock edge. The engine room of the track features Bob Jenkins on drums and Christian Kaufmann on guitar, underpinned by the atmospheric Hammond organ of Schmiderer and the soaring yet punchy background vocals of Miriam Stockley.

The visual world of “Yes I Can” was captured in Wales, featuring photography by Katie Scott and a music video directed by Luke Wade (LiveWorks), filmed in Cardiff.

Experience the song live—tickets for Bonnie’s upcoming 2025 tour dates are available now.
